We are looking for a Weekend Trader in New York. You’ll have the opportunity to join a team focused on researching, interpreting, and capitalising on crypto trading markets (Wednesday through Sunday or Thursday to Monday).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop trading strategies around market-making, on spot markets and OTC.
  • Assist the Sales team in developing execution strategies with clients.
  • Define optimal liquidity to provide clients with.
  • Research potential trading opportunities on centralised & decentralised exchanges.
  • Help manage day-to-day crypto operations (fund movements, transaction processing, reconciliations, settlements, loan tracking, account opening, P&L calculation, position management, etc.).

Background and skills

  • University degree (MSc), preferably in Finance, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related.
  • At least 2 years working experience in Trading (Crypto is not a must have)
  • Trading experience within a global financial trading firm is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of decentralised exchanges and decentralised finance.
  • Strong understanding of cryptocurrency concepts such as wallets, blockchains, smart contracts and stablecoins required.
  • Curious and autonomous
  • Highly motivated and results-driven
  • Strong maths and analytical skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced collaborative environment

Responsibilities:

  • In-depth knowledge and exposure (both professional and personal) to digital assets including; DeFi, CeFi, Staking, and Stablecoins with a strong track record in the space. 
  • Contacts with crypto native entrepreneurs, UHNW and institutions that are active investors in the digital asset field.
  • Self-starter mindset, flexibility, enthusiasm to learn and operate in an early stage business environment, with changing tasks and priorities.
  • Previous experience building and managing high performance sales / business development / relationship management teams.
